Andrew Dornan, Executive Director for James Bay Minerals, announced the acquisition of the Advanced Stage Independence Gold Project in Nevada’s Battle Mountain region. This area is known for its rich gold deposits and is just 20 kilometers from the fully serviced mining town of Battle Mountain. The project has a foreign mineral resource estimate of 1.18 million ounces of gold and 7.6 million ounces of silver, with a high-grade portion of nearly 800,000 ounces of gold at 6.53 grams per tonne. The project is adjacent to the Phoenix Gold Complex, part of a joint venture between Barrick and Newmont, which produces 3.3 million ounces of gold annually, providing an expedited pathway to production.
